Bulletin board of cassava market on October 7, 2024 

I. About Cassava Starch:

According to information from cassava factories, the production plan of cassava factories in the Northern region is expected to be 15-30 days later than the 2023-2024 crop, because the cassava is still young (low starch content). According to export units, there are few transactions of buying and selling Cassava Starch during the Chinese National Day holiday that lasts until October 7, 2024.

The Thai Cassava Association announced that the selling price of Cassava Starch decreased by another 5 USD/ton compared to the previous week, at 510 USD/ton FOB Bangkok (announced on October 1, 2024). Note: The export price announced on Thailand's website is the transaction price of the previous week. Normally, the announced price of Thailand is 30-50 USD/ton higher than the actual price. Vietnamese factories are offering the same price as last week, in the range of 480 - 500 USD/ton FOB Ho Chi Minh City port.

II. About Cassava chips:

According to information from cassava chip trading units, some cassava chip warehouse owners (goods used for Alcohol factories) plan to open warehouses to offer old crop products at relatively low prices - below 5,000 VND/kg, in the context of the prospect that this item may continue to decrease due to the decrease in fresh cassava root prices.

FOB HCM: $480-500/MT
DAF Lang Son: 3,500-3,620CNY/MT
FOB Bangkok: $510/MT
