The vision of Quang Ngai province is that by 2030

The goal of Quang Ngai province is that by 2030, cassava output will reach 250,000-300,000 tons and export turnover will reach 150-180 million USD.
 

On June 11, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province issued a project to implement the project for sustainable development of the cassava industry until 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the province.
 

Accordingly, the goal is that by 2030, fresh cassava output in the province will reach about 250,000-300,000 tons, ensuring the supply of raw materials for deep processing of a number of products (starch, ethanol...).
 

The cassava growing area using varieties that meet quality standards reaches 40% - 50%; The cassava growing area applying sustainable farming processes reached 50%; Export turnover of cassava and cassava products reached 150-180 million USD.
 

Vision to 2050, Quang Ngai's cassava industry continues to develop sustainably, 70%-80% of cassava growing areas apply sustainable farming processes, fresh cassava output is used to process a number of products ( starch, ethanol...) accounts for over 90%, the export turnover of cassava and cassava products reaches about 180-200 million USD.
 

Regarding production development orientation, by 2030, the cassava growing area in the province will be about 12,000-14,000 hectares, with fresh tuber output reaching 250,000-300,000 tons with distribution orientation in 2 key regions. In particular, in mountainous areas, the planted area reaches 9,000-10,000 hectares; in the delta, the planted area reaches 3,000-4,000 hectares,
 

Orientation for cassava processing development, by 2030, will continue to encourage economic sectors to invest in building new or upgrading factories processing cassava products (starch, ethanol...).
