Cassava export prices reached their highest level in 6 years
According to the Import-Export Department, the average export price of cassava and cassava products from Vietnam in 2023 achieved 441.5 USD/ton, which is the highest price in the period 2018 - 2023.

In 2023, according to statistics from the Import-Export Department, Vietnam's export of cassava and cassava products will reach 2.95 million tons, reaching a value of 1.3 billion USD, down 9.1% in quantity and decrease 7.3% in value compared to 2022.

Following the Import-Export Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average export price of cassava and cassava products has reached the highest level since 2018. Vietnam's average export price of cassava and cassava products in 2023  achieved 441.5 USD/ton, an increase of 2.1% compared to 2022.

In 2023,  cassava exports achieved 821,510 tons, worth 231.64 million USD, an increase of 8% in quantity and an increase of 4.9% in value compared to 2022. Average export price of cassava in the year 2023 at 282 USD/ton, reduced 2.9% compared to 2022.

In 2023,China is  one of the larger markets for cassava and cassava products in Vietnam, making up for 91.52% in quantity and 90.99% in value of Vietnam's total exports, reaching 2 7 million tons, worth 1.18 billion USD. Compared to the previous year, the turnover and export production of cassava and cassava products to China decreased by 9.3% and 7.7%, respectively.

According to the Import and Export Department, the average export price of Vietnam's cassava and cassava products to this market in 2023 at 438.9 USD/ton, up to 1.7% compared to 2022. Demand for cassava and China's cassava products have slowed down in recent months, affecting Vietnam's exports of this product.
