I. About Cassava Starch:

According to news from cassava factories, many factories in Tay Ninh and the Central Highlands have started the new crop in 2024 - 2025.

The output price trend at the beginning of the new crop has gone in the opposite direction compared to last year, when it continuously decreased, pushing the raw material purchase price to a low level.

The FOB Ho Chi Minh City selling price continued to decrease, creating pressure for the DAF Lang Son price to decrease as well.

The Thai Cassava Association announced that the selling price of Cassava Starch remained the same as the previous week, at 525 USD/ton FOB Bangkok (announced on August 6, 2024). Note: The export price announced on Thailand's website is the transaction price of the previous week.

Thailand's announced price is usually 30 - 50 USD/ton higher than the actual price.

Vietnamese factories are offering prices that are down 05 USD/ton compared to last week, in the range of 480 - 505 USD/ton FOB Ho Chi Minh City port.

II. About Cassava chips:

According to information from cassava chip trading units, corn prices tend to increase slightly, the purchase price of cassava chips in the domestic market of Vietnam has shown signs of increasing.

For the export market, the actual export price to China still fluctuates below 250 USD/ton FOB Vietnam port, there is information that some export units still accept to sell at this price.
