I. About Tapioca Starch:

According to information from cassava factories, the demand for purchasing food powder from Chinese customers has slowed down, mainly customers asking for powder sold to fireworks factories.
According to information from traders, the price movement is expected to decrease in the coming time, when cassava factories enter mass production in the 2024 - 2025 crop.
 

The Thai Cassava Association announced that the selling price of Tapioca Starch decreased by 5 USD/ton compared to the previous week, at 520 USD/ton FOB Bangkok (announced on September 17, 2024). Note: The export price announced on Thailand's website is the transaction price of the previous week.Thailand's announced price is usually 30 - 50 USD/ton higher than the actual price.Vietnamese factories are offering the same price as last week, in the range of 480 - 505 USD/ton FOB Ho Chi Minh City port.
 

II. About Cassava Chips:

According to information from cassava chip businesses, in the context of many livestock and poultry being affected by storms and floods, the demand for animal feed is expected to decrease compared to the same period in 2023.
Therefore, according to traders' estimates, the supply of cassava chips and cassava pulp by the end of 2024 will be in surplus - forcing production units to find ways to reduce and/or find additional consumption channels.

DAF Lang Son: 3,520-3,640CNY/MT
